Former Kentucky softball stars Erin Coffel and Kayla Kowalik are ready to participate in Athletes Unlimited as the 2024 summer series kicks off Monday with all six competitions being televised on the ESPN Family of Networks.
The Athletes Unlimited Draft was held Friday morning. Coffel landed as a middle infielder on Team Leach and Kowalik was selected by Team Wiggins.

LEXINGTON, Ky. – Kentucky Softball alums Erin Coffel and Kayla Kowalik are ready to take center stage in Athletes Unlimited as the 2024 summer series kicks off Monday with all six competitions featuring the two Wildcats greats televised on the ESPN Family of Networks.
The AU Draft was held Friday morning as Coffel landed as a middle infielder on Team Leach and Kowalik was selected by Team Wiggins. With the team placements for the opening series, Kowalik and Coffel will square off twice, playing once on June 10 and a second time on June 11 at Wilkins Stadium on the campus of Wichita State University.
Infielder Aubrey Leach, who finished in second place during the 2023 AUX event, will serve as the Gold team captain in the opening series, while outfielder Megan Wiggins leads the Orange squad. Infielder Jessi Warren, the reigning Athletes Unlimited Pro Softball AUX Defensive MVP, guides the Blue team into the opening series after finishing sixth on the leaderboard last year.
