The Cats draw a late night tip-off at Clemson.
The Kentucky Wildcats men’s basketball schedule is now officially set for the 2024-25 season, as the Cats will be looking to make some noise in Year 1 under Mark Pope.
There are plenty of high-major matchups in the non-conference schedule, one of the toughest of which will be when the Cats face the Clemson Tigers on December 3rd to take on the Tigers in the ACC/SEC Challenge.
Well we now have the tip-off times for those matchups, and it will be a late night battle between the Cats and Tigers as they have drawn the 9:15 tip time. The game will on ESPN, and will follow either Arkansas vs Miami or Syracuse vs Tennessee.
Kentucky currently holds a 12-4 record over Clemson, with the most recent matchup coming in 1997 as the Cats knocked off the Tigers 76-61 at the Premier Classic in Phoenix. However, the last time UK traveled to Clemson was in 1933, when Kentucky pulled off the win 42-32.
Clemson is coming off an Elite Eight appearance last season, where they lost to Alabama 89-82. On their run to the Regional Final, they also knocked off 3-seed Baylor and 2-seed Arizona.
It will not be an easy one in Littlejohn Coliseum, and the late-night tip will give the Cats their first true road test of the season. Should be a fun one.
Matchups and networks are set for the 2nd annual SEC/ACC Men’s and Women’s Basketball Challenge
