The Cats could be shorthanded in the secondary.
Saturday night’s matchup between the Kentucky Wildcats and the Vanderbilt Commodores is inching closer and closer as both teams look to add another win to their season total.
Vandy is coming off easily the biggest win of the college football season after knocking off Alabama in Nashville last Saturday, while Kentucky is also coming off a top-10 road win against Ole Miss.
Both programs are confident heading into Saturday night’s matchup, but according to the initial injury report, the Cats could be a little shorthanded come kickoff.
After missing the matchup in Oxford, Maxwell Hairston has been listed as out in the initial injury report. Chip Trayanum is also still expected to be out this weekend.
With several names listed as probable, including Hardley Gilmore and Courtland Ford, the biggest name the Cats will likely hope needs to be on the field is true freshman Terhyon Nichols.
After an impressive performance against Ole Miss, the talented cornerback could be needed for depth against the Commodores. However, he’s currently listed as doubtful, so there’s a good chance he’s out this week.
We will need to keep an eye out this week, folks.
