Another hit in the defensive backfield.
The Kentucky Wildcats are now only a day away from squaring off against the Vanderbilt Commodores at Kroger Field as the two programs look to build off impressive wins last time out.
The initial injury reports last night revealed that the Cats will be without talented cornerback Maxwell Hairston, meaning the Cats’ secondary will need to step up once again.
A big question mark was the status of freshman cornerback Terhyon Nichols heading into Saturday night’s game. Those questions got an answer this evening, as Nichols was officially listed as out in this evening’s update.
With a couple of key defensive backs now listed as out, the Cats will have to rely on a plethora of youngsters in the cornerback position to help slow down Diego Pavia and the Vandy offense.
For Vandy, safety CJ Taylor appears to be also moving in the right direction to help lead the Commodores’ defense. He’s now probable to play.
Linebacker Bryan Longwell, defensive lineman Yilanan Ouattara, and offensive lineman Chase Mitchell have also been upgraded to probable.
