Kriisa began his college journey at Arizona, where he spent three seasons as a key contributor before transferring to West Virginia for the 2023-24 season. After just one year with the Mountaineers, he made the move to Kentucky, where many expected him to finish his college career.
However, his season in Lexington was cut short after just nine games when he suffered a broken foot in a matchup against Gonzaga. The injury sidelined him for the remainder of the year, preventing him from making the impact he had hoped for in a Wildcats uniform.
During his brief time at Kentucky, Kriisa averaged 17.4 minutes per game, posting 4.4 points, 3.8 assists, and 2.4 rebounds per contest. While his numbers were modest, his experience and playmaking ability were valuable assets to the team before his injury.
Over the course of his five-year college career, Kriisa has proven to be a steady presence at the point guard position. Across his time at Arizona, West Virginia, and Kentucky, he has averaged 29.4 minutes, 9.3 points, 4.6 assists, and 2.3 rebounds per game.
Now, Kriisa is looking for a fresh start and an opportunity to prove himself once again. If granted a medical redshirt, he will have one more season to showcase his skills and contribute at a high level. His next destination remains uncertain, but given his experience and leadership, he should draw interest from several programs in need of a veteran guard.
