Knox has a new home
The Golden State Warriors are getting a former Cat.
On Wednesday afternoon, The Athletic’s Shams Charania broke the news that Knox has signed a one-year deal with the Golden State Warriors.
Knox has been in the league for six years since spending a season with the Kentucky Wildcats. He was a coveted prospect, having been selected ninth in the 2018 NBA Draft by the New York Knicks.
The Florida native spent his first 3.5 seasons in the Big Apple before playing for the Atlanta Hawks to finish that season. He’s spent time with the Detroit Pistons and Portland Trail Blazers as well.
Here’s Charania’s tweet.

The All-SEC standout was able to play 31 games for the Pistons last season, starting 11 of them. He averaged 18.1 minutes per game and shot 46.2% from the field, up from his 39.2% career average. He’s notched over 45% from the field for two straight seasons.
Knox has the potential to be a solid rotational player and has the length and aggression to be a capable rebounder off the bench as well.
With the Warriors having been a dynasty for most of the 2010s, he’ll be entering a franchise with a winning history and ideally find his footing there.
