The La Familia Kentucky alumni team, which has six former NBA players on the roster, was too much for 305 Ballers in an 82-56 win to open The Basketball Tournament last night at Rupp Arena.
Kerem Kanter, the younger brother of Enes Kanter, led La Familia with 21 points and 12 rebounds. Eric Bledsoe and Aaron Harrison chipped in 13 points each. Nate Sestina added 12 points and Andrew Harrison finished with 11.
La Familia will return to Rupp Arena on Sunday to face The Nawf in the second round of the Lexington Regional. Tipoff is set for 2:00 p.m. ET on FOX.
