The latest injury news for Kentucky and Alabama.
The Kentucky Wildcats and Alabama Crimson Tide have released their SEC injury reports ahead of Saturday’s showdown in Tuscaloosa.
For Kentucky, all eyes remain on Lamont Butler and Jaxson Robinson, who are now doing some level of work in practice, according to Mark Pope.
For this game however, Butler and Robinson will remain out. Hopefully the BBN will see them back on the court sooner rather than later.
For Alabama, several players are banged up. Freshman forward Derrion Reid missed the first matchup with Kentucky due to a hamstring injury. Reid returned to the lineup last Saturday in a loss to Auburn, but the injury flared up again, causing him to miss the loss to Missouri.
Reid has been listed as out for the matchup against the Cats.
The Crimson Tide are still without senior guard guard Latrell Wrightsell Jr., who suffered a season-ending Achilles injury in November.
Senior reserve guard Houston Mallette has also missed time due to a knee injury and is out for this game.
Maybe the biggest shocker for the whole report was Alabama starting guard, Mark Sears, making an appearance. He was listed as probable by the Alabama staff.
