
Another big-time portal commitment for Kenny Brooks.
Kenny Brooks and the Kentucky Wildcats are on the board again in the transfer portal.
On Thursday, Kentucky landed a pledge from Liberty Flames guard Asia Boone, who will have two seasons of eligibility remaining.
Boone announced the news in an Instagram post.
A 5-foot-8 sharpshooter from California, Boone comes to Kentucky have appeared and started in 67 career games with the Flames. As a freshman in the 2023-24 season, she averaged 10.1 points on 36.3% shooting from the field (9.4 attempts per game), including 36.8% shooting from 3-point range (5.0 attempts per game). She also chipped in 2.1 assists and 1.2 steals per contest.
Then as a sophomore this past season, Boone averaged 10.2 points on 40.3% shooting from the field (8.9 attempts per game), including 36.9% shooting from 3-point range (5.1 attempts per game) to go with 1.4 assists per game.
Ironically, Boone faced Kentucky in the Round of 64 of the NCAA Tournament. However, she only logged five minutes before exiting with a foot injury.
Boone joins Western Kentucky guard Josie Gilvin as Kentucky’s two transfer portal commitments thus far.
