Acaden Lewis is set to make his announcement on November 2nd.
With less than a week until the Kentucky Wildcats’ season opener, fans are excited to see what Coach Mark Pope will bring in his debut season.
Pope assembled a strong coaching staff with deep basketball connections and built a new roster from scratch. He has already excelled in recruiting for the 2025 class, securing two top-25 commits from the state of Kentucky —Jasper Johnson and Malachi Moreno—and now pursuing four-star PG Acaden Lewis.
Lewis is a 6-foot-2, 170-pound, 4-star PG from Washington D.C. Pope has been recruiting him since he has taken over at Kentucky and has shown that he loves his game and wants him to play alongside Johnson. The two in the backcourt together will be great and they will be able to easily play alongside each other.
A Sea of Blue spoke with Moreno about Kentucky’s chances with Lewis going into his decision.
“I feel pretty confident about it,” Moreno tells us. “Acaden is a great point (guard) who I have had the privilege to play with during the summer, and he made me a lot better. I think he fits Coach Pope’s system with the way he plays.”
We are just days away from Lewis’ announcement. On November 2nd, he will decide between Kentucky, Duke, and UConn.
Currently, Travis Branham and Chris Fisher of 247 Sports both predict that Kentucky will get Lewis’s commitment. And according to On3, Kentucky has a 91.2% chance of getting Lewis.
We’ll know soon enough where Lewis will land.
