Not looking good for Robinson to face Auburn.
Jaxson Robinson is officially out for Kentucky vs. Auburn, while Amari Williams is good to go.
Will Jaxson Robinson be able to play when the Kentucky Wildcats host the No. 1 Auburn Tigers? And is Amari Williams in danger of not playing?
On Friday, UK head coach Mark Pope met with the media to preview Saturday’s big game. He was asked about the status of Robinson, who exited the first half of Wednesday’s win over the Oklahoma Sooners due to a lingering wrist injury.
Pope simply said that Robinson came out of the game “not so great.” Sounds like fans shouldn’t count on him playing Saturday.
In addition, Amari Williams went down with an ankle injury in the win over Oklahoma, though he did finish the game. Pope said that Williams had a decent day of practice on Thursday, and the team will know more about him today at practice.
Based on those comments, it sounds like there’s a chance Williams will be listed as questionable or probable on the Friday injury report.
Kentucky would be in a world of hurt if both Williams and Robinson can’t go. For what it’s worth, FanDuel currently has the Tigers as 5.5-point favorites for Saturday, one of the biggest spreads for an opposing team in recent memory.
