The Cats are in the Big Apple to take on Ohio State!
Good morning, BBN!
The Kentucky Wildcats men’s basketball drought is over as they’re back in action after a week to take on Ohio State in the CBS Sports Classic at Madison Square Garden in New York City at 5:30 PM ET.
It’s been such a great start to the season for Kentucky. I’m not sure there’s been a better start to a College Basketball Coaching tenure than Mark Pope’s.
Beating Duke, Gonzaga, and Louisville in a span of two months with a brand-new roster is pretty incredible.
Now, the Cats have two games left in 2024: Ohio State and Brown on New Year’s Eve.
The Buckeyes haven’t looked great this year, especially when they’ve gone up against SEC teams. They’re 1-2 with blowout losses to Auburn and Texas A&M but a win to open the year against Texas.
It’ll be fun today, but I might be more excited for the game before Kentucky, UCLA vs North Carolina. That starts at 3 PM EST if you want to tune in.

While Kentucky has been awesome, most other high majors with new rosters are struggling.

Again, what Mark Pope has done is pretty incredible.
