UK Athletics had a great week!
Happy Sunday, BBN!
Yesterday capped off one of the best weeks UK Athletics has seen in quite some time.
It started with the Kentucky Wildcats finally beating the Duke Blue Devils in an electric matchup, the first signature win of the Mark Pope era. It was the Cats’ first win over Duke since 2015.
Women’s soccer won its first NCAA Tournament game in a decade, Kentucky football got their biggest margin of victory in a win this year, beating Murray State, and Kentucky rifle secured their biggest home score of the year to win their match.
Oh, and women’s basketball took down the No. 18 Louisville Cardinals for the first time since 2015.
Kenny Brooks’ Cats secured two different top-20 recruits, then took down rival Louisville Saturday night to close out a great week for Mitch Barnhart and UK Athletics.
Let’s hope they can keep the good times rolling this coming week!
