The Cats are riding high into SEC play.
Kentucky Wildcats women’s basketball knocked off Western Kentucky University on Saturday, 88-70.
They improved to 11-1 on the season while picking up their fourth consecutive win over the previous three weeks. Their 88 points were also a second-best on the season.
Georgia Amoore and Clara Strack led the way on offense with 21 points each, while Amoore dished out nine assists, and Strack grabbed a dozen rebounds.
Joining them in double-figure scoring was Teonni Key (15) along with Saniah Tyler (11) while the team had seven total players score during the outing.
Kentucky opens Southeastern Conference play on Thursday when they host Mississippi State at Historic Memorial Coliseum. They’ll then quickly turn around for two road trips to Vanderbilt along with Florida.
Meanwhile, tip-off for Thursday night’s game against Mississippi State is scheduled for 7 PM ET, and game coverage will be streamed via SEC Network Plus.
