Can Kentucky pick up a win at Kroger Field?
Well, last night was pretty terrible.
The Kentucky Wildcats laid a clunker at the Swamp, with an offense that looked lost a good chunk of the game and multiple defensive breakdowns.
The Wildcats now have losses to South Carolina, Vanderbilt, and Florida, with Kentucky scoring a combined 39 points in those three games.
Now, everything is on the table. The Cats could finish under .500 for the first time since 2020 (and the first time since 2015 under a traditional schedule). Of course, Kentucky has been to a bowl game every year since 2015 and that streak is now in jeopardy.
But if Kentucky wants to turn things around, it has to start next Saturday when the Auburn Tigers come to town. In the 2nd year of the Hugh Freeze area, the Tigers are struggling to figure things out. They sit at 2-5 and are winless in SEC competition, but went on the road to 19th-ranked Missouri yesterday and took them down to the wire, with Mizzou scoring the go-ahead touchdown in the final minute to win 21-17.
This is a winnable game on paper, and for Kentucky, it’s a must-win if the Cats want to have a chance to reach bowl eligibility. Getting to that point won’t be easy regardless, but it looks nearly impossible if the Cats don’t pick up their first SEC win at Kroger Field of the season.

Really the only Kentucky football stat you need to know this season.
