Bad times.
Good Morning on this dreary Sunday.
Kentucky, once again, puts on one of the worst performances of the Mark Stoops era in an embarrassing 20-13 home loss to Vanderbilt, marking just a 2-10 home SEC record in Kentucky’s last 12 conference games. This also makes the second game this season where the ‘worst performance of the Mark Stoops era’ has been uttered.
After nine straight years of raising the bar for the Kentucky Wildcats football program from 2013-2021, the program has been in rapid decline since week five of the 2022 season, and now it seems like it may be in complete free fall after one of the biggest wins in program history.
Kentucky isn’t just losing these games; they are getting embarrassed. Embarrassed by their opponents and embarrassing themselves with ridiculous penalties far-too-often coaching mistakes to end halves and even games. It’s something resembling a Joker Phillips-esque football team in 2012.
Kentucky is running out of time to salvage their season.
