The Cooley brothers are drawing interest from Kentucky.
The Kentucky Wildcats continue their push to strengthen its roster, hosting a pair of high-profile visitors: Trevion and Tamarcus Cooley, according to Nick Roush of On3. The brothers, both standout athletes, have garnered attention for their dynamic play and could be crucial additions to the Wildcats.
Trevion Cooley, a 5-foot-11, 208-pound running back, recently entered the transfer portal after spending two seasons with the Louisville Cardinals and two prior seasons at Georgia Tech. Known for his speed and physicality, Trevion has already made an impact at the collegiate level, amassing 1,009 rushing yards and six touchdowns across 33 games. He has also recorded 33 receptions for 355 receiving yards and four touchdowns.
With his ability to break tackles and contribute as a pass-catcher out of the backfield, Trevion is a versatile offensive weapon. Kentucky’s coaching staff, looking to strengthen the running back room after losing key players, sees Trevion as a potential solution to fill that need immediately.
His younger brother, Tamarcus Cooley, is a highly sought-after defensive back in the transfer portal. Standing at 5-foot-11 and weighing 205 pounds, Tamarcus is known for his instincts, athleticism in coverage, and ability to deliver hard hits. Over two years of college football, he has played for Maryland and, most recently, North Carolina State.
In his career, Tamarcus has appeared in 17 games, recording 43 tackles, three tackles for loss, and three interceptions. His visit to Kentucky signals that the Wildcats are positioning themselves as serious contenders for his commitment.
The Cooley brothers’ visit underscores Kentucky’s commitment to securing top talent. A potential package deal would not only provide an immediate boost to the roster but also solidify Kentucky’s reputation as a premier destination for family connections in football.
Time will tell if the Wildcats can seal the deal.
