Kentucky continues to revamp the wide receiver room with a big-time addition.
The Kentucky Wildcats have landed a significant addition to their wide receiver room with the commitment of Tru Edwards, who officially committed to the program on Monday via Twitter.
A standout transfer, Edwards brings size, speed, and playmaking ability to a unit that has been in transition following several offseason departures.
Standing at 6-foot-2 and weighing 200 pounds, Edwards brings the athleticism and versatility Kentucky needs to stay competitive in the SEC. This past season, Edwards appeared in 13 games, recording 84 receptions for 986 receiving yards and six touchdowns.
Over his career, he has played in 37 games, amassing 112 receptions, 1,307 receiving yards, and eight touchdowns.

Edwards is known for his precise route-running and ability to make contested catches. He immediately becomes a valuable weapon for quarterback Zach Calzada in what Wildcats fans hope will be an improved offensive attack.
Edwards’ commitment comes at a crucial time for Kentucky, as the coaching staff has worked diligently to replenish the wide receiver position after multiple players left for other programs during the offseason.
Offensive coordinator Bush Hamdan, alongside head coach Mark Stoops, has prioritized building depth and elevating the talent level at wide receiver, and Edwards fits the mold perfectly.
Edwards’ addition not only addresses a need but also signifies Kentucky’s ability to attract high-level talent in a competitive transfer portal landscape. With Edwards on board, the Wildcats look poised to make noise in the SEC this upcoming season.
