A potential major setback for the Dawgs.
The Kentucky Wildcats are preparing for their matchup with the Georgia Bulldogs this Saturday. They hope to bounce back from last Saturday’s loss, but to do that, they’ll need close to all hands on deck.
It won’t be easy to knock off the No. 1 team in the country, even at home, but according to this week’s injury report, they will be looking to do so with a few potential starters out.
Two starting offensive linemen, Jager Burton (doubtful) and Gerald Mincey (probable), headline Mark Stoops’s injury report. Also, Maxwell Hariston has received a probable designation in this week’s first report.
The Cats will also be without Chip Trayanum once again as he recovers from a broken hand suffered in fall camp, while true freshman Jason Patterson is doubtful to play with an unknown injury.
It won’t be easy, but the Cats are going to need the next man up in this one, potentially in quite a few spots.
For the Dawgs, standout defensive line Mykel Williams is doubtful to play, while backup running back Roderick Robinson II is out.
Williams was recently projected to go No. 1 overall in the 2025 NFL Draft, so that would be a big setback for the Dawgs. He suffered an ankle injury in Game 1 vs. Clemson and missed last week’s win over Tennessee Tech.
