The United States women’s rugby team pulled of a stunning last second victory over Australia this afternoon to medal at the Olympics for the first time ever.
Trailing 12-7 in the closing seconds, Alex Sedrick broke free for a game-tying score. Sedrick then hit a game-winning conversion to give the Americans a 14-12 victory and bronze medals.
