DORES!
The Vanderbilt Commodores have done it! A college football upset for the ages took place Saturday in Nashville, as the Dores took down No. 1 Alabama 40-35.
It was Vanderbilt’s first win ever over an AP top-five opponent, as well as the program’s first victory over Alabama for the first time since 1984. The Dores led wire to wire after taking a 13-0 lead following a pick-six of Jalen Milroe by Randon Fontenette.
Diego Pavia continues to be the story of the 2024 season, as he turned in a masterful performance in the Dores’ all-time win. Pavia completed 16/20 passes for 252 yards and two touchdowns while running for 56 yards on 20 carries. He has yet to throw an interception this year and now has Vanderbilt on track to make a bowl game for the first time since 2018.
Safe to say the Kentucky Wildcats have a major test on deck next Saturday when the Cats and the Dores face off in primetime.
