Is Big Dog staying in Lexington?
Will Vince Marrow remain with the Kentucky Wildcats?
For now, it appears that will be the case.
On Saturday, news broke that the North Carolina Tar Heels were pursuing Marrow to be on Bill Belichick’s first coaching staff in Chapel Hill.
Then on Tuesday, Marrow was present for the 2024 Paul Hornung Award ceremony, which saw Kentucky signee Montavin Quisenberry take home the honor.
When asked about the UNC rumors, Marrow told the audience he plans to be at Kentucky next season.
I spoke with Vince Marrow today, about the UNC rumors
“For me, I’m here….I can’t control what other people say they want. But really for me, I’m here”
He also told multiple UK fans at the event I was at, they can expect him back for next season.

It’s not the most emphatic denial, but it sounds like he’s planning to be at UK for the 2025 season. Losing him at this point would be a brutal development as Mark Stoops and his staff look to assemble a transfer portal class. That includes a pair of highly-touted quarterbacks visiting in Duke’s Maalik Murphy and Incarnate Word’s Zach Calzada.
So, for now, the Big Dog is staying in Lexington.
