When will the Cats pick up another transfer portal commitment?

College basketball is a 24/7, 365-day sport. While the 2024-25 season ended last Friday for the Kentucky Wildcats, the 2025-26 season has picked right up.
Now, the Cats have received some serious interest from Magoon Gwath and Alvaro Folgueiras, so much so that they might secure them this week…
That is, until news broke late Tuesday night that Gwath was staying at San Diego State. This comes after 247 Sports recruiting ace Travis Branham predicted the Cats would land him, along with On3’s Joe Tipton.
Alas, he’s now off the board for Kentucky.
On the other side, there haven’t been any significant recruiting picks for the Cats to land Folgueiras outside of KSR’s Ryan Lemond, but the Robert Morris forward would fit so well in Mark Pope’s system. He averaged 14.1 PPG on 41.3% shooting from 3 last season.
Plenty of other players are on Pope’s radar, but so far, only Tulane guard Kam Williams has joined the fray.

Some high praise for former Kentucky player Bryce Hopkins from former Kentucky Coach Rick Pitino. It will be interesting to see how it plays out next season.
