Former Kentucky forward Wenyen Gabriel and his South Sudan teammates made history on Sunday when they won their first-ever Olympic basketball game.
South Sudan overcame a 54-48 deficit to defeat Puerto Rico 90-79.
Former Louisville guard Carlik Jones led the way with 19 points. Gabriel chipped in 6 points and 9 rebounds.

South Sudan is the youngest country in the world.
Their basketball federation is led by president Luol Deng.
