West Virginia head coach Bob Huggins finds himself in hot water following comments he made during a radio appearance Monday.
Huggins was appearing on Bill Cunningham’s show on WLW in Cincinnati when an attempt to troll Xavier basketball went terribly awry.
Describing an incident from his time at Cincinnati when Xavier fans threw rubber penises onto the court, Huggins used an anti-gay slur to refer to the Musketeers fanbase.
“I tell you what, any school that can throw rubber penises on the floor and then say they didn’t do it, by God they can get away with anything,” Huggins said. “It was the Crosstown Shootout [against Cincinnati]. What it was was all those f–s, those Catholic f—s. They were envious they didn’t have one.”
