Sean Miller, the former University of Arizona men’s head basketball coach, is returning to where he made a name for himself.
Xavier announced on Saturday that it’s hired Sean Miller to be the program’s next men’s basketball coach. It’s a surprising reunion.
Miller coach at Xavier from 2004 to 2009. The Musketeers went 120-47 during that span, including four trips to the NCAA Tournament. Xavier went to the Elite Eight in 2008 and Sweet 16 in 2009.
The 53-year-old is returning to the school to coach the Musketeers.

“Xavier is expected to bring back Sean Miller as its next head coach, sources told ESPN. Miller was a top target for Xavier and South Carolina, but he’s returning to the Musketeers, where he spent eight seasons in the early 2000s,” said Jeff Borzello.
