Xavier head coach Sean Miller landed a significant addition from the portal with former Rice guard Quincy Olivari.
The 6-foot-3 junior guard from Atlanta averaged 18.7 points and 5.9 rebounds while shooting 41% and 36% from deep.
“Sean Miller and his staff made me a priority from day one and they showed this through their words and actions,” he told On3.com. “They expressed their belief in me that I could come in and take my game to the next level while playing on the biggest stage. Sean Miller has a great track record. The staff and players in the program are amazing. I’m excited to play in the NCAA tournament and advance. Everything felt right.”
Xavier just landed a commitment from Rice transfer Quincy Olivari.
Olivari is a 6-3, 200-pound shooter. He has deep range and plays well off of kick-outs with craftiness in the mid-range. He also draws a lot of fouls. pic.twitter.com/t68b1Lr9X7

Xavier remains in the mix for Virginia big man Kadin Shedrick, who is also considering Duke, Missouri and Texas and will visit all four schools, as well as transferring Wyoming big man Graham Ike, who is also considering Providence, Kansas and Gonzaga.
