Well, that’s something.
First, the news:

The man they call Nemo and sometimes the Lithuanian Light Show has disappeared as abruptly as he arrived. From a Hail Mary recruiting score to a starter the moment he landed on campus to a bench afterthought, his career arc at Xavier was as violent as the necessity of bringing him in was unexpected.
Nemeiksa hit double figures eight times as a Musketeer; four of those were in his first six games with the team. He dropped a casual 10/12/3 in his debut against Robert Morris and peaked in scoring output with 20 in a loss to Washington. His early productivity had fans clamoring for the school to confirm that he had an additional year of eligibility. By the time they found it, it was less universally held that it would be of any use.
Now it will, but somewhere else. Since the middle of January, his playing time and productivity dwindled, and he was widely considered to be the subject of Sean Miller’s comments about certain players not having the effort level desired in the rotation.
In his most recent podcast, Coach Miller posited that God wouldn’t allow Jerome Hunter and Zach Freemantle to miss time to injury in the upcoming season. Should the Lord not hold up His end of that bargain – and frankly, even if he does – there is playing time aplenty available in Xavier’s frontcourt.
