Kachi Nzeh, the three-star 6-foot-9, 220-pound big man from the George School (PA) and the NY Rens Nike EYBL squad, committed to Xavier on Thursday, continuing coach Sean Miller’s recent run of recruiting success.
Ranked the No. 37 center nationally by 247Sports.com, he also considered Iowa, St. Louis and VCU.
“It really came down to the nitpicking of things,” Nzeh told 247Sports.com.
“Sean Miller has sent guys to the NBA and he has done things with versatile fours like myself and he really has that blueprint to get me where I want to go.”
“He’s a straight forward coach and gets down to it,” he added of the head coach. “He doesn’t lie or make me feel good, we built a real good relationship. I built a good relationship with the staff. I love the campus and of course the Cintas Center, who wouldn’t want to play in there, it’s a great gym and in the Big East. That’s why I wanted to accept this challenge and commit to Xavier University.”
He joins Trey Green, Reid Ducharme and Dailyn Swain in Xavier’s class ranked No. 10 nationally.
