Reserve players on today’s Reds roster
There are still no game notes or travel roster from the Reds for today’s game. Yesterday’s game notes had these pitchers listed for today’s game as being scheduled to pitch: Alexis Diaz, Ian Gibaut, Sam Moll, and Joe La Sorsa.

News and Notes
Alexis Diaz to the injured list
The Reds closer is going to miss the start of the season with a hamstring injury. If the team doesn’t go outside of the organization to bring any other pitchers in between now and Opening Day, the bullpen is now settled to begin the year. We’ve got all of those details here.
Two more roster cuts
Just before the announcement of the Diaz move, the Reds announced they had sent Wade Miley and Will Banfield to minor league camp in the latest round of roster cuts. Miley was never going to make the team as he recovers from Tommy John surgery. Banfield was competing for the backup catchers job to begin the season, but hitting .150 probably led to the team deciding to go with Austin Wynns.
Expecting too much from the manager
It would seem that Mike Petriello of MLB.com has been reading the comments section here at Redleg Nation since October.
I have been on the “???? Francona but lord are people expecting him to singlehandedly add 10 wins by himself” train all winter and with Díaz to the IL, the Cincinnati bullpen is .. not what you want
